Breast surgery

Breast lift (mastopexy), silicone implants, replacing older implants and breast reduction. The goal is a result in proportion with your body, planned calmly.

Who it is usually for

Women who feel their breasts have lost volume or firmness, for example after pregnancy, breastfeeding or weight loss. Also those who have had implants for many years and want them reassessed, or who feel discomfort with the size of their breasts.

Not every sagging breast needs an implant, and not every implant needs replacing: the consultation clarifies that.

How the consultation works

In the consultation, Dr. Ivan listens to what bothers you, examines your breasts and explains the possible options, including those without implants. Plans for pregnancy and breastfeeding are part of the conversation, because they affect the technique and the timing of surgery.

Before surgery, tests such as breast imaging and a clinical review are requested.

What recovery is usually like

Recovery depends on the technique. It usually involves a surgical bra, limiting arm effort for a period and scheduled follow-ups to monitor healing. The time to return to work and exercise is agreed in the consultation.

Every case is assessed individually. The indication, technique and recovery time are defined in the consultation.

Frequently asked questions

Does every breast lift need an implant?

No. In many cases the lift is done with your own breast tissue. An implant is added when more volume is also wanted or needed.

Can I breastfeed after breast surgery?

In general, yes, but technique and placement matter. If you still plan to breastfeed, this is taken into account in the plan.

My implants are more than 10 years old. Do I need to replace them?

There is no single deadline. Replacement is recommended based on the clinical exam and imaging, which show the condition of the implant.
